Exodus 20:4-6

The Ten Commandments

[4] “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. [5] You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, [6] but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments. (ESV)

Call to Worship

Psalm 104:31-33
May the glory of the Lord endure forever;
may the Lord rejoice in his works,
who looks on the earth and it trembles,
who touches the mountains and they smoke!I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have being.

Prayer of Repentance

Almighty God, we have sinned against You and You alone. Although we may think lightly of our sin, it is a great offense to turn our backs on our Holy God. Forgive us. We remember Your promise that You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Show us Your mercy and give us the grace to turn our backs on our sin and turn to your righteousness. You are a Holy God, help us to love what you love. It is Your wondrous grace and the work of Jesus that we can come before You.  Amen.

Benediction

Unto Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think. According to the power at work within us. To Him be the glory in your life, in the church, and in Christ Jesus. To all generations forever and ever. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen!
