Psalm 24

The King of Glory

1 The earth is the LORD's and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein,
2
for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers.
3
Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD? And who shall stand in his holy place?
4
He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully.
5
He will receive blessing from the LORD and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6
Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob. Selah
7
Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
8
Who is this King of glory? The LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in battle!
9
Lift up your heads, O gates! And lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
10
Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory! Selah

Call to Worship

Psalm 61

(1) Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer;
(2) from the end of the earth I call to you when my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I,
(3) for you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy.
(4) Let me dwell in your tent forever! Let me take refuge under the shelter of your wings! Selah
(5) For you, O God, have heard my vows; you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.
(6) Prolong the life of the king; may his years endure to all generations!
(7) May he be enthroned forever before God; appoint steadfast love and faithfulness to watch over him!
(8) So will I ever sing praises to your name, as I perform my vows day after day. (ESV)

Prayer of Confession

Our Father in Heaven, we know that we have sinned against heaven and before you, and are not worthy to be called your children. We have lifted up our souls to what is false, and set our eyes on that which is nothing; have looked at the things that are seen, which are temporal, but have forgotten the things that are eternal. For your name’s sake, O LORD, pardon our guilt, for it is great. Be pleased to deliver us! Let us receive blessing from the LORD, even righteousness from the God of our salvation. Amen

Resources for Parents

In the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, we have suspended our Sunday morning Kids Ministry. However, we recognize that discipleship doesn't take a break and parents still need resources and encouragement as they train up their children in the LORD. To that end, every week, our Kids Ministry Director, Krysta Kogut, will be recording and sharing short devotionals for Coram Deo's kids. The videos will be posted on Tuesdays at 10 am, but you can watch them at any time. Make sure you have paper and pencils or crayons ready so you can participate!
