On the evening of Sunday, September 27, we gathered for our quarterly Church Family Meeting. We feasted on fried chicken, competed in Coram Deo history Kahoots, enjoyed fellowship, and celebrated God's faithfulness to Coram Deo Church. The video above includes Pastor Jon's address to the church family, which covers a lot of exciting news, so be sure to watch!
Not included in the video was Pastor Rusten's encouraging financial and budget update covering the close of the previous fiscal year (ending June 30, 2026) and the current fiscal year to date (July–August 2026).
Close of the 2025–2026 Fiscal Year

2025-2026 Fiscal Year Highlights
We are so encouraged by God's faithfulness and the growing generosity of the church. Our giving was $76,691 over budget, our expenses were only slightly over budget (by $3,191), and our net income for the year was $81,172.
We are encouraged by your generosity not just because it helps us pay the bills and keep the lights on, but because it is truly the fruit of hearts that know the grace of God, and it supports the mission of God in our community through the church.
Current Fiscal Year to Date

2026–2027 Fiscal Year to Date Highlights (July–August)
Because of trends in giving, we were able to start this fiscal year with a new monthly giving budget of $100,000 (up from $90,000). This allowed us to bring on much-needed resources for the work of ministry at Coram Deo, including hiring Pastor Derrek as our Community Pastor and bringing Michael Demile on full time as our Youth Ministry Lead and as support for church communications. This new budget, along with the finalization of our mortgage refinance, also allows us to cover the loss of rent from tenants due to the upcoming building project (see the video for more information). We are so encouraged because we can truly see God's hand of provision for where He is calling our church.
So far this fiscal year, giving is $4,833 above the new budget, expenses are $3,190 under budget, and net income is $8,902. Also, as you can see from the account balances at the end of August, our cash on hand is $343,020 greater than the end-of-April balance we reported at our last Family Meeting. This is due primarily to gifts already given to the building fund for our Legacy Campaign (see the video above for more about the Legacy Campaign).
We are thankful to God for His provision, encouraged by the church's growth in generosity, and look forward to seeing more of what God has in store for Coram Deo Church. Be sure to watch Pastor Jon's video for more exciting updates!
In Christ,
Pastor Rusten
