A Prayer for Easter

Oh, Precious Spirit,

Hallelujah! The tomb is empty!

We sing for joy because Christ is alive.

Stir within us the hope of regeneration through the Lambof God.

Lead us into lasting change by your resurrection power.

Merciful Savior,

The grave could not hold you; death has been defeated.

Our debt has been paid; our redemption accomplished.

You were proven faithful; all your words are true.

And yet you continue your work by indwelling andinterceding.

So, we gladly live for you in faith and eagerexpectation.

We marvel at the foot of your cross in the light of thetomb.

Almighty Father,

Your Son has returned, seated at your right hand.

Joy of joys, the grace of God is on full display.

The fame of our great Lord is spreading to all thenations.

Give us excitement for your ongoing mission. 

May all the earth praise the name of our ResurrectedKing!
