Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6 (ESV)

I wasn’t raised in the Church. My family didn’t talk about Jesus or the Bible. But at the end of high school, God broke into my life in a way I could never have imagined. For the first time, I truly saw my sin and my desperate need for a Savior. When I surrendered my life to Jesus, I not only found eternal life—I discovered new life.

Over the years, God began to transform not just my heart but my entire family.

At that time, I was the only Christian in my family. Over the years, God began to transform not just my heart but my entire family. My mother confessed her faith in Christ before she passed away from cancer in 2004. Just two weeks later, Coram Deo Church was launched, and my family started attending to support me as we grieved. That Christmas, my father became a Christian. The following year, my sister surrendered her life to Christ, and soon after, her husband did the same.

He rescued us from sin and transformed the Johnston family line.

Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, he brought not only eternal life to me but new life to my family. He rescued us from sin and transformed the Johnston family line. Jesus breathed purpose and joy into our lives, showing us that true life is found only in him.

His Word sustains us, and his Spirit transforms us.

By walking in obedience to Jesus, we experience the joy of living in God’s plan. His Word sustains us, and his Spirit transforms us. Obedience is not a burden—it is the pathway to the fullness of life Jesus promised.

Obedience to Jesus reveals the life we were created for. It brings a joy the world cannot offer, peace that surpasses all understanding, and the privilege of enjoying him forever. My family’s story is a testament that his life is not just a promise for the future but a present reality.

If you are seeking purpose, joy, or transformation, look to Jesus. He is the Life. In him, you will find all that you need and more. Let us trust him today, walk in obedience, and live the life we were made for—a life in Christ.

Liturgy

Father, we come before you in awe of your grace and mercy.

Through Jesus, you have brought us from darkness
into the light of true and abundant life.

Thank you for the gift of your Son, who gave himself for us,
that we might know eternal joy and peace.

Teach us to trust you more deeply, surrendering our plans to your perfect will.

Help us walk in obedience to Jesus, knowing his commands brings life and freedom.

May your Spirit transform us day by day, shaping us into the likeness of Christ.

Let our lives be living testimonies of your grace,
pointing others to the hope we have in Jesus.

Lead us, guide us, and sustain us, that we may glorifyyou in all we do.

In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
