Hebrews 1:1–3a

The Supremacy of God's Son

Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. (ESV)

Psalm 42:1–6a

As a deer pants for flowing streams,
so pants my soul for you, O God.
My soul thirsts for God,
for the living God.
When shall I come and appear before God?
My tears have been my food
day and night,
while they say to me all the day long,
“Where is your God?”
These things I remember,
as I pour out my soul:
how I would go with the throng
and lead them in procession to the house of God
with glad shouts and songs of praise,
a multitude keeping festival.

Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my salvation and my God.

Prayer of Confession

Heavenly Father, you are the Creator and Sustainer of all things. You love us with better love than we could ever imagine, and we stand in awe of your care for us. Yet, even though we have tasted your goodness, we would rather trust in ourselves. Father, we worship ourselves, and find our hearts full of anxiety and depression when we realize we cannot be our own saviors. Jesus, your perfect life of obedience to the Father gives us true hope. You suffered on our behalf and endured the cross to bring us life. And you rose from death to make all things new. We humbly come to you offering praise, thanks, and our very lives. Holy Spirit, teach us to be still and to know that you are God and we are not. Open our eyes to see how you faithfully pursue us. Show us the unstoppable love of Christ, who was stricken for our sin and who stands before the Father in Heaven as our perfect advocate. Thank you that you will never leave us or forsake us. In Jesus’ name, amen.

March Memory Verse

Romans 12:1–2

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Resources for Parents

In the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, we are suspending all physical gatherings. However, we recognize that discipleship doesn't take a break and parents still need resources and encouragement as they train up their children in the LORD. To that end, our Kids Ministry Director, Krysta Kogut, will be going live on Facebook on Thursday mornings at 10 am to share a short devotional time for Coram Deo's kids. We hope you can join us!
