Episode 110 - God's Law: Can You Legislate Morality? - Exodus 22

October 4, 2024

preached by

Can you legislate morality? Many Christians answer with a confident "no." But the same people who answer that way would likely not be in favor of repealing laws against murder or theft. If the law doesn't legislate morality, what does it legislate? In this episode of Sermon B-Sides, Pastor Jon and Pastor Rusten continue to discuss the relevance of the Law of the Covenant for how we understand civil law today. They discuss topics like God prioritizing individual responsibility, Theonomy, and laws outlawing wizardry and witchcraft. They also continue to critique the way many Christians have been shy about seeking God's vision of justice in our modern context.

We hope you enjoy, and as usual, if you have any questions for Sermon B-Sides or anything else, email us at pastor@coramdeochurch.org.
