Call to Worship
Psalm 109:26–31
[26] Help me, O LORD my God!
Save me according to your steadfast love!
[27] Let them know that this is your hand;
you, O LORD, have done it!
[28] Let them curse, but you will bless!
They arise and are put to shame, but your servant will be glad!
[29] May my accusers be clothed with dishonor;
may they be wrapped in their own shame as in a cloak!
[30] With my mouth I will give great thanks to the LORD;
I will praise him in the midst of the throng.
[31] For he stands at the right hand of the needy one,
to save him from those who condemn his soul to death.
Prayer of Repentance
Father God, we confess that our hearts have wandered. In our shame, we have tried to hide from you what will not be hidden. But you are rich in mercy and full of grace. Forgive us our sins. Renew our minds and hearts, that we may better discern what is Your will and what is good, acceptable and perfect before You. Keep us from temptation and sin and deliver us from evil. We pray these things in Jesus' name. Amen
Benediction
May the Lord be gracious to you and give you relief in your distress. May the Lord establish you as one who trusts in Him. May He lift up the light of His face upon you and put gladness in your heart that exceeds all earthly joy. May the Lord make you dwell in safety so that when you lie down, you may sleep in peace. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen!
